Kamakura, Japan

I was back at the airport today to drop Midi off for his flight

 back home. He was visiting and dropped his dog off for a

 few weeks while he heads off to Japan. We were in Japan 

together last Summer. I took this photo of two girls while we

 were all visiting a temple complex in Kamakura. They were 

very sweet and posed for me when I asked if I could take

 a photo of their traditional dress.

Just after taking this photo I was strolling along telling Mr. 

Wonderful about my Grandfather when a lady we were passing

 smiled at me. I smiled back and she said, "I love your accent",

 we started chatting and it turns out she thought I was from South 

Africa where she had started out in life. We had a lovely conversation

 with Tess and her friend Naomi and three years later Tess and I 

are in contact almost everyday through facebook. My only regret is I 

didn't invite them back to our apartment in the Marais for a glass of wine.
